The ushanka's ear flaps down will protect from snow or rain. They can be worn with ear flaps down or tied on top if you wish. This kind of fur has been designed in the Soviet Union specifically for such winter army hats. It is known for its durability and resistance to snow/water. This model is available in sizes S, M, L, XL, XXL. It has a nice quilted lining. Each hat is supplied with a detachable anchor badge with red star. Should it be necessary, the badge easily comes off leaving no marks on the fur. They may be worn ear flaps up or down.
